Bye weeks have begun! Let’s get your fantasy football lineups ready for week 6 with some Start/Sit suggestions at each position. This list will exclude the every-week lineup starters, like Josh Allen, Derrick Henry, Mark Andrews, etc. Let’s get into it.
Teams on bye: Detriot Lions, Houston Texans, Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans
"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: QB
Geno Smith vs Arizona Cardinals
This is wild, but Geno is putting up numbers this season averaging just under 20 fantasy points per game. The Cardinals are ranked 25th against QBs. Geno should keep rolling.
Kirk Cousins vs Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins' defense has given up some points on the field and to fantasy quarterbacks. Look for Cousins to take advantage, this week.
Tom Brady vs Pittsburgh Steelers
Brady is throwing a lot.... back-to-back games with over 50 attempts. I don’t know if that trend will continue, but the trend of the Steelers' defense allowing fantasy points will.

"SITS" OF THE WEEK: QB
Matt Stafford vs Carolina Panthers
The Panthers aren’t the worst matchup, but the Rams' offense line can’t block anyone at the moment. Not to mention Stafford is only averaging 10.78 fantasy points per game this season.
Jamies Winston vs Cincinnati Bengals
Winston returned to practice this week, but he shouldn't return to your lineups. The Bengals are Top 5 against QB in fantasy this season.
Trevor Lawerence vs Indianapolis Colts
Lawrence played well in week 2 against the Colts and had solid fantasy points. But this game is in Indy and the Colts are top 12 against QB. Not the worst option if you’re desperate in bye, but think you could do better elsewhere.
"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: RB
Rhamondre Stevenson vs Cleveland Browns
With Damien Harris headed to IR, it means more opportunities for Stevenson. Plus facing the 28th-ranked Browns. You have put Rhamondre in your lineup.
Breece Hall vs Green Bay Packers
Hall hasn’t scored less than 12 since week 1. That shouldn’t change this week.
Melvin Gordon vs Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers are the worst-ranked defense against fantasy running backs, while Gordon should still see a bulk of the carries.
"SITS" OF THE WEEK: RB
Najee Harris vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs are back to being the #1 defense against fantasy RBs and so far Kenny Pickett hasn’t been the spark the Steelers we’re looking for. Shouldn't be surprised to see Harris struggles to continue this week.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire vs Buffalo Bills
Coming off a poor fantasy performance in week 5. CEH doesn’t get the best bounce-back matchup against the Bills. Will probably have to wait a week to see him back to what he was during the first 4 weeks.
Miles Sanders vs Dallas Cowboys
Sanders will be hard to bench, I’ll admit it. But the Cowboys have yet to allow 2 Touchdowns to be scored in the same game. this season. The Cowboys are also the top 5 defense against running back and this is a big matchup on Sunday night.
"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: WR
Chris Godwin vs Pittsburgh Steelers
Goodwin is still battling back from injury but has played the last 2 weeks. This week is a prime matchup as the Steelers are dead last against fantasy WRs. Chris Godwin should be a good play this week.
Courtland Sutton vs Los Angeles Chargers
Sutton has averaged 12.54 fantasy points this season despite being on a poor offense. This week he has a positive matchup vs the Chargers so you can keep him in your lineup.
Brandon Ayiuk vs Atlanta Falcons
If you need a spot start for byes. Ayiuk might be a guy to help. The Falcons are 25th against fantasy wide receivers making his chances at a touchdown higher this week.
"SITS" OF THE WEEK: WR
Curtis Samuel vs Chicago Bears
Samuel will be facing a top-10 defense when it comes to fantasy wide receivers. He will be on the road, on a short week, and playing with a QB who had his head coach run over with a bus earlier this week.
Mike Williams vs Denver Broncos
Don’t let the Broncos record full you. They are the 4th ranked defense and #2 against fantasy Wide receivers.
Marquises “Hollywood” Brown vs Seattle Seahawks
Now Hollywood has atleast 10 targets in every game since week 2. That’s why he is currently WR6. This week is divisional vs the #4 team against Wide receiver might see some regression this week and you may want to look elsewhere
"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: TE
George Kittle vs Arizona Cardinals
I’m calling it. This will finally be the week George Kittle scores like you hoped he would when you drafted him.
Pat Freimuth vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
It’s finally a good matchup for the TE and with the Steelers to projected to struggle running the ball look for Freimuth to be heavily involved.
"SITS" OF THE WEEK: TE
Kyle Pitts vs New England Patriots
Pitts has been disappointing all season, and that most likely won’t change this week as the Patriots are top 5 against fantasy TE
Hayden Hurst vs New Orleans Saints
Hurst has found the end zone in the last 2 weeks. This week he has a tougher matchup, so I think I would bet on a different TE to find the end zone.
"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: DST
New Orleans Saints vs Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals' offense isn’t clicking yet and still giving up sacks.
Jaguars vs Indianapolis Colts
Matt Ryan has been a turnover machine and the offensive line can’t protect him. The Jags are also sneakily DST 7 on the season.
"SITS" OF THE WEEK: DST
Buffalo Bills vs Kansas City Chiefs
Buffalo's Defense is good. This is just not the week to play them against the chiefs
Green Bay Packers vs New York Jets
The Jets are coming off a 40 burger and the
The packers are coming off a tough loss after playing in London with no bye.
