The Fantasy playoffs are here! Congrats to everyone Couch GM out there who made the playoff. It has been a wild season. Now every game counts, and you have to make sure you set the perfect lineup. Take a look at some off-start/sit players for Week 15.
*This list will exclude the every-week lineup starters, like Josh Allen, Derrick Henry, Travis Kelce, etc. Let’s get into it.
"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: QB
Justin Fields vs Philadelphia Eagles
I know this is a "red" matchup and the Eagles give up the least amount of points to Fantasy QBs. But Fields isn’t your typical fantasy QB. He does his damage on the ground. Don’t overthink it play Justin Fields this week.
Mike White vs Detroit Lions
White is a little banged up, and the Lions' Defense has been playing better of late. But they are still giving up the most points to Fantasy QBs, so you can play Mike White this week.
Dax Prescott vs the Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars give up an average of 19.5 fantasy points to the Quarterback position. Dak should be back in your lineup this week.
"SITS" OF THE WEEK: QB
Jared Goff vs New York Jets
I know the Lions are the new hotness. The team everyone is talking about, but what people should be talking about is the Jets' defense. The Jets have NOT allowed a 300-yard passer, 100-yard rusher, or 100-yard receiver in 8 weeks. Read that again to really take it in. Then move Goff to the bench this week.
Geno Smith vs San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers are top 5 defense against fantasy QBs. Geno Smith also had by far his worst game of the season when these 2 teams faced off in week 2 when he score 6.08 points.
Trevor Lawrence vs Dallas Cowboys
Trevor Lawrence finished as QB1 in week 14. However, this week he has a tough matchup against the Dallas Cowboys and their Top 3 defense against fantasy QBs. You may want to look elsewhere.
"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: RB
Isiah Pacheco vs Houston Texans
McKinnon may have been a top waiver wire addition this week, but Pacheco has scored 10+ points in 5 straight games and gets to face the Texans who give up the most points to the position.
Cam Akers vs Green Bay Packers
With Akers taking the lead job. The Rams looking like they have a legit QB again with Baker Mayfield to help Akers out. Plus, he gets to face the Packers and their run defense. It will feel scary going into Monday Night Football needing 10-12 points from Akers to move on, but it should happen.
J.K. Dobbins vs Cleveland Browns
J.K. Dobbins didn’t look like himself in week 14, but he still, put up 18 half-point PPR points. This week he gets to face an even worse run defense. For the first time all year, I feel confident playing Dobbins.
"SITS" OF THE WEEK: RB
Kenneth Walker vs San Francisco 49ers
Now Walker isn’t a must-sit this week. Heck, you are probably in a playoff matchup this week in large part due to Walker. However, He is coming off an injury that caused him to miss week 14, it is a short week, and the 49ers are the top defense against fantasy running backs. The odds do stack against him this week.
Travis Etienne vs Dallas Cowboys

Travis Etienne has fallen off over the last 4 games. He hasn’t had a double-digit performance since week 9. This week he faces Dallas who is a top 6 defense.
Antonio Gibson vs New York Giants
Gibson had less than 7 points when these teams faced not even 2 weeks ago, and he had 5 quarters of football to score points. Looks elsewhere for a running back this week.
"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: WR
Garrett Wilson vs Detroit Lions
If Mike White is expected to play, Garret Wilson is expected to be in your lineup. The Matchup against the 30th-ranked Lions is just too good to pass up.
Chris Olave vs Atlanta Falcons
Chris Olave is another rookie wide receiver who has a great matchup this week, against the falcons, who rank 24th against the position.
Michael Pittman vs Minnesota Vikings
Did you know, the Vikings have passed the Lions for the worst defense in the league? Yep, that is true of the 10-3 Vikings. That Should translate to a good day for Micheal Pittman.
"SITS" OF THE WEEK: WR
Brandon Ayiuk vs Seattle Seahawks
Brandon Ayiuk has looked more like rookie year Ayiuk than he did last year, but this week he faces the Seahawks who are top 6 against fantasy wideouts. He only scores 8 in their previous matchup. Deebo Samuel is hurt, so there will be a bigger focus on Ayiuk. He probably helped you make the playoffs, but you may want to keep him on the bench for the first round. Especially, if Brock Purdy can't go on Thursday.
DeAndre Hopkins vs Denver Broncos
Similar to Kenneth Walker above, Hopkins isn’t a must-sit. However, The Cardinals lost Kyler Murray, so it will be Colt McCoy throwing the ball to DHop. Unfortunately, Hopkins should see a lot of Surtain this week, which is a big reason why there is only one team who gives up us fewer points to fantasy wide receivers than the Broncos. The odds are against DHop this week.
Chris Godwin vs the Cincinnati Bengals
The Bucs' offense has been struggling. As an offense, they have only scored over 20 points 1 time since week 9. This week they face the Bengals who have found their groove and are currently the 4 best team against fantasy WRs. There should be some better options for you than Godwin this week.
"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: TE
Dalton Schultz vs Jacksonville Jaguars
Shultz had 10 targets in week 14 and gets to face the Jags who are the Top 10 in most allowed points to tight ends this year.
Gerald Everett vs Tennesse Titans
The Titans just allowed Evan Engram to have a field day against them. You hope Everett can do the same.
"SITS" OF THE WEEK: TE
Evan Engram vs Dallas Cowboys
I just mentioned Engram had a field day in week 14. Over 33 points (half-point PPR). Moved him all the way up to TE4 on the season. This week he faces the Cowboys who are Top 5 against TEs. Don’t chase the points.
Cole Kmet vs Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are Top 10 against TEs this year. Take a flyer on someone in a better matchup.
"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: DST
Saints DST vs Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons will have a rookie QB starting for the first time. You should expect a turnover or 2.
Chiefs DST vs Houston Texans
Don’t fall for the trap the Texans almost beat the cowboys. It is still the Texans.
"SITS" OF THE WEEK: DST
Steelers DST vs Carolina Panthers
The Panthers are coming off a big road upset. Steelers' Defense has not lived up to expectations. There are better matchups elsewhere.
Bears DST vs Philadelphia Eagles
This seems obvious, but NFL.com has the Bears currently projected as the 11th-highest-scoring defense this week. So for all of you in 12+ team leagues...Don’t fall for that.
