This week on the Couch GM's Podcast, the boys were talking RBs! They gave their consensus top 25 on the show, but we all know it doesn't end at 25 in our fantasy leagues. Here are their top 50!

The RB position continues to be top heavy and riddled with running back committees this season like it has in the past, so it is important to get a top workhorse back if you are in the position to do so in your fantasy draft. As predicted on this week's show, the guys all agreed that they see the top 5 RBs coming off the board in the first 5 picks of most fantasy drafts, and George added he could see 7-8 total RBs off the board in the first 10 picks. Cody also mentioned how once you get past RB7 (CLE RB Nick Chubb) the instability of the position really starts to come out, and that is where you start to find players who can score 30 fantasy points one week, and turn around with 10 the next.

Another topic mentioned on this week's episode was a few sleepers. George noted the Jets backfield questions and how he believes that Michael Carter could be one of the best late round fliers that could become a starting RB. Tyler talked about Travis Etienne and his pass catching ability making him a potential asset in PPR leagues as well as his belief that Ronald Jones will emerge again as the starting RB in Tampa Bay. Cody looked at a few guys he thinks we are too low on being David Johnson, who could be a steady 10-15 carry a game player in Houston, and James Robinson, who could be a TD eater down in Jacksonville.

The RB position is one of the hardest to navigate in fantasy football, but the Couch GMs are here to help you make sense of it heading into your fantasy drafts! If you have any questions, need advice, want more sleepers, handcuffs, and more, drop a question in the comments!

I also think Mostert as the 28th would be a great grab. Health is a concern but his talent means if he catches that break and stats healthy, he'll pay huge dividends for anybody who gets him as their third.

Replying to

There are just a lot of mouths to feed in the San Fran backfield. Mostert has proven to be one of the more reliable backs, but cannot stay on the field it seems. Adding in Trey Sermon and Wayne Gallman with him and Jeff Wilson and their “hot hand” approach is just scary on a week to week basis. But there is no doubt that if he plays, Mostert is a weapon.

Thinking more about this since our discussion yesterday. All things being equal, I think I'd slot Jacobs in at no later than 11. Drake gives me no pause and I just think he's better than all those players below 11 and has a chance to finish top 10. The DUI is the only concern. I hope the league addresses that before draft season gets underway.
