Week 8 is already upon us and we are halfway through the fantasy regular season. Let’s take a look at the waiver wire to keep your teams at top shape heading into the second half.

PHI RB Kenneth Gainwell (14.2% Owned)

Philly actually attempted to run the ball more in week 7… well until Miles Sanders got hurt… and they got way behind on the scoreboard. At the least, this shows promise for their RBs in fantasy, and without Miles Sanders with an ankle injury, the man to play is Kenny Gainwell. Gainwell has actually been scoring nearly as much as Sanders so far this season, so if Sanders misses time, I am in on playing Gainwell.

FAAB Bid Suggestion: $10

CHI RB Khalil Herbert (44.8% Owned)

The Bears saw Damien Williams return to game action in week 7 but Herbert dominated the backfield and was very effective. He saw 18 carries and caught 5 passes Sunday, and that volume makes him a must add and must start until David Montgomery returns from injury.

FAAB Bid Suggestion: $20

LV RBs Kenyan Drake (46.8% Owned) and Peyton Barber (0.7% Owned)

We all remember when Josh Jacobs was injured a few weeks ago and Barber took over he Raiders backfield. Jacobs left the Raiders week 7 game with a chest injury. We may see more Kenyan Drake this time around with the new coaching staff, but Barber is worth an add as well because of his past usage.

FAAB Bid Suggestion: Drake: $20 Barber: $5

BAL WR Rashod Bateman (10.3% Owned)

The Ravens are officially a pass first team. I know, that seems crazy, but thats where we are in 2021. Bateman is quickly emerging as the WR2 in the Ravens offense and the 3rd passing option behind Hollywood Brown and Mark Andrews. I expect his 6 targets and 80 yards to increase even more in the coming weeks. Now he is on bye in week 8, which could mean your league mates will wait to add him, so beat the rush and add him now.

FAAB Bid Suggestion: $15

ATL WR Russell Gage (11.8% Owned)

One of my favorite preseason late round fliers really looked like a bust the first 6 weeks, but after returning from injury in week 7, Gage broke out. Now he is also a 3rd option in an offense behind Calvin Ridley and Kyle Pitts, but the Falcons are a high volume passing attack that can support Gage most weeks if he continues to perform

FAAB Bid Suggestion: $10

CIN TE C.J. Uzomah (16.5% Owned)

As we continue to find TEs to play, one really had an explosive week 7. Uzomah only had 3 catches which concerned me, but he looked like a WR after the catch. If that continues, you can definitely add him to the TE dart board.

FAAB Bid Suggestion: $5
