Congrats to all of you owners who made it to round 2 of the fantasy football playoffs! If you are here, I am sure you are looking for some waiver wire pickups to help your team reach the championship. Let’s jump into some of those adds.
LAC RB Justin Jackson (Owned 0.9%)
The Chargers placed already banged up RB Austin Ekeler on the COVID reserve list on Monday and if he cannot return from the list in time, Justin Jackson is the best option from this backfield. Jackson has been a coaching staff favorite for years in LA and has shown the ability to be fantasy relevant if given the opportunity.
CIN RB Samaje Perine (Owned 1.5%)
Similar to Jackson, Perine is on the list because Joe Mixon is banged up and Perine is in for a big workload if he misses week 16. Situations like this is why we are such big advocates for the handcuff, so if you are a Mixon owner, hopefully you don’t miss this waiver add. If you are RB needy, Perine is one of the best 1 week options.
TB RB Ronald Jones (Owned 25.9%)
The more owned of the backups to be starters is Ronald Jones, but the same that I have said about the above 2 backs applies. If Leonard Fournette misses time, Jones is a great play down the stretch, especially given his history as a solid fantasy back.
DET WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (Owned 19.8%)
Amon-Ra St. Brown is again on this column and it’s because yet again he put up a solid performance. There are a few good WR options on the wire this week if you are WR desperate, but St. Brown is my favorite of that group. If you need more convincing, he has received 11+ targets every week since the Lions have been banged up and started to feature him in the offense.
GB WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (Owned 11%)
I have been one of the most skeptical people on GB WRs not named Devonte Adams, but here we are. The Packers are starting to turn me. The targets to secondary WRs has gone up a lot in recent weeks after the injury to Randall Cobb. MVS is my favorite of the group due to his big play ability. His floor is a little low, but his ceiling is very high, and he can hit it any given week.
BUF WR Gabriel Davis (Owned 5.1%)
Another low floor high ceiling player is Gabriel Davis. This man is now on a 3 game TD scoring streak. I know, it sounds like a chasing fantasy points scenario, but I don’t think it is. Davis’ production has gone up since the injury to Emmanuel Sanders and I think that he will lose these targets anytime soon with the great production he is having. You may need to hope for a TD if you start Davis, but that also isn’t a hard sell on an offense like the Bills that score so many.
