Fantasy playoffs are just 2 weeks away now and these adds could mean more than ever if you are a team in need of some lineup help. While the waiver wire gets more bare as the weeks go on, there is still help that can keep you afloat through byes or injuries. Let’s check it out!
DET QB Jared Goff (20.5% Owned)
Goff has been a very boom or bust fantasy QB this season but with the Lions on a run and now facing a bottom 10 defense in the Jaguars, I like the streaming appeal in this matchup.
BAL RB Gus Edwards (16.4% Owned)
At least until JK Dobbins returns, Gus Edwards will be the bell cow back for the Ravens. That is a fact we learned 3 weeks ago, so I am shocked to see that he made it through this week being this widely available. He isn’t exactly a huge boom play, but byes are back for the next few weeks so he is far from the worst plug and play option you can find on the wire.
LAR RB Kyren Williams (5.3% Owned)
I know, I know, the Rams are a mess. Their backs are on a crazy split, and none of them look good. Williams has looked like the best of the bunch though and it seems like week by week he keeps getting more work. His snap share rose from 27% to 55% to 70% in his 3 games he has been active. If there is any hope of a fantasy relevant starter in this offense going forward, Williams is the guy.
TEN WR Treylon Burks (34% Owned)
Burks is a return offender to the article after he was not as added as I expected last week. His numbers may be slightly inflated this week due to the fumble recovery TD he had, but even without that he compiled a 9 point fantasy day and is seperating himself as the top pass catching target on a team that desperately needs it. Add the rookie now and he may just be a solid spot start down the stretch.
CLE WR Donovan Peoples-Jones (39.5% Owned)
This is a different kind of add than I usually put on this column. Peoples-Jones had a very disappointing week 12, but has been solid before that. The biggest reason he appears here is the return of Deshaun Watson. If Watson can play as even 3/4 of his old self coming back from the suspension, there is a chance that Peoples-Jones can be a boom down the stretch. Note: If he is owned in your leagues, don’t forget about him. He may be dropped by some because of his bad week 12 and you may be able to get him late in the week on the second clearing of waivers or on free agency.
JAX WR Zay Jones (8.3% Owned)
If you have listened in for awhile, you know my love hate relationship with Zay Jones. He is really one of the most underwhelming WRs in the league. Even yet, if the Jaguars insist on giving him 24 targets over the last 2 games with a date with the Lions coming up… I definitely see some flex potential out of Jones in the short term.
LV TE Foster Moreau (7.9% Owned)
Moreau has seen some decent production with Darren Waller down and decent is about all we can ask for in todays tight end market. The touchdown dependent TD has TDs in 2 of the last 3 games and 5 or more targets in 4 of the last 6 games. You cold definitely do worse on the TE dart board than Moreau.
