We are entering the final run to the fantasy playoffs and every bit helps. While there might not be any boom players left on the wire, there are still plenty of important pieces to add.
CAR QB Cam Newton (47.2% Owned)
I wrote in this article about Tua instead of Cam, and Cam did his best to prove that he was the guy I should have written about last week. We saw a glimpse of the old Cam this past week and he is a rushing QB which we all know is a cheat code in fantasy.
NYJ RB Ty Johnson (5.3% Owned)
Michael Carter went down this week with an injury and is expected to miss multiple weeks. While Ty Johnson is the prettiest play, he is someone who will get volume while Carter is missing from the lineup.
BAL RB Devonta Freeman (36.1% Owned)
Baltimore’s backfield is finally starting to get an identity and it appears that Freeman is the lead back breaking out. I was worried that the return of Latavius Murray was going to hurt Freeman’s value but that was not the case. Freeman is definitely worth an add and could be a start down the stretch this fantasy season.
CHI WR Darnell Mooney (42.3% Owned)
The Bears were missing Allen Robinson this week and man did Mooney benefit. The Bears QBs gave Mooney 16 targets in week 11, a really big breakout out of seemingly nowhere. He is still a sketchy play moving forward, but the Bears how now showed the will to get Mooney involved, so let’s see if that continues.
DAL WRs Cedric Wilson (1.0% Owned) /Michael Gallup (63.1% Owned)
The Cowboys are also beat up missing both CeeDee Lamb and probably Amari Cooper this week so Wilson and Gallup both line up as good plays on Thanksgiving. Gallup should be the top option, so check if you are in the few leagues that he is available. If he is not, Wilson is a great backup plan.
PIT TE Pat Freiermuth (29.6% Owned)
Have you all not been listening? Have you not been watching football? Why isn’t Freiermuth being added everywhere? Every week that passes, Freiermuth looks more and more like modern day Heath Miller. Even with the return of Eric Ebron, Freiermuth received 7 targets and was a big factor in the Steelers offense, so I don’t see any sign of a slowdown coming.
