After a WR heavy waiver wire last week, the RBs have come back. Which backs are worth adding? Let’s take a look at that and more!
MIA QB Tua Tagovailoa (33.5% Owned)
Tua was not the starter for the Dolphins in week 10 but he played the 2nd half after an injury to Jacoby Brissett. In that half, Tua put up 12.32 fantasy points and looked as good as he has all season. If that keeps up, watch for Tua to be a bye week fill and matchup based starter down the stretch.
GB RB AJ Dillon (44.7% Owned)
Green Bay saw lead back Aaron Jones go down with a knee injury this past week and while the news was good, he is still expected to miss 1-2 weeks. AJ Dillon has already been a solid fantasy play the weeks he gets the workload. Now as a starter, I love Dillon for as long as Jones misses.
NE RB Rhamondre Stevenson (31.8% Owned)
New England was also down a back last week and Stevenson showed off his great potential in the absence of Damien Harris. It is very hard to see how this backfield will shake out when Harris is back, especially with Belitricks, but Stevenson did so well that he is worth the speculative add.
ATL RB Wayne Gallman (0.1% Owned)
We were all in on Mike Davis at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately, he has not panned out and in a blowout loss, the Falcons finally gave Gallman a look. He looked great on his 15 carries and may demand some work over Davis. If this works the way we would like, we have to watch for a possible two relevant back system with Gallman and Cordarelle Patterson.
TEN RB D’Onta Foreman (2.6% Owned)
Another messy backfield that we have yet to really sort out has to be the Titans. Since the loss of Derrick Henry, it has been a true committee approach between Adrian Peterson, Jeremy McNichols, and dark horse FA add D’Onta Foreman. Forman was the leader of the committee in week 10 with 11 carries and 2 receptions. None of the backs have looked fantastic, but Foreman has been the best and deserves an add and an extended look by the Titans.
JAX WR Jamal Agnew (0.8% Owned)
There is no doubt that the CB turned WR is a work in progress. He saw 5 targets in week 10 and didn’t catch a pass. But what there is no doubt about are his big play ability and the Jags want to get him the ball. Even without catching a pass, Agnew had a great fantasy week thanks to 3 carries and a long TD. He is a work in progress, it is a long term play, but Agnew keeps getting looks and is slowly working his way into being a great WR.
BAL WR Rashad Bateman (10.7% Owned)
I feel like I’ve written about Bateman almost every week since his activation. He had yet another 8 target game and broke 10 half-PPR points. He is averaging 9.4 half-PPR points per game in his last 3 games and hasn’t broken through with his first career TD yet. I see nowhere to go but up for Bateman as the season progresses.
