Another crazy week in the world of fantasy football has led us to another look at the fantasy waiver wire. Who are some guys who can help your team this week and beyond? Lets check it out!
NO QB Taysom Hill (Owned 0.7%)
The Saints received bad news on Sunday that Jameis Winston appears to have an ACL injury that would keep him out for the season. While this is probably bad news for all of the Saints weapons, it is good news for Taysom Hill. It is worth noting that Hill was hurt and missed the Saints week 8 contest with a lingering concussion, but would be a great fill for your fantasy teams QB spot if he is back in week 9 thanks to his rushing ability.
TEN RB Jeremy McNichols (Owned 0.2%)
Derrick Henry quietly got a potentially severe foot injury in week 8 and it could cost him the rest of the fantasy season. The Titans may explore adding a RB before the Tuesday trade deadline, but if they do not, McNichols is probably the most likely to see an uptick in work. For a team that relies on running the ball so much, he would be a threat for a good stat line any week.
PHI RB Boston Scott (Owned 1.0%)
Well… we first thought that Kenny Gainwell would dominate the Eagles backfield without Miles Sanders. Then, we heard news about Jordan Howard getting first team reps. Well, it turns out that the man with the most carries on Sunday was Boston Scott. The Eagles did get up big, which could skew the carries numbers, but Scott started the game and got a TD early, all while only catching 1 pass which is traditionally his bread and butter. We don’t know who will lead the Eagles backfield next week, but Scott made a strong case.
JAX RB Carlos Hyde (Owned 0.5%)
Another RB injury, James Robinson left Sunday’s game and that could open the door for Hyde as a 1 week streamer. I don’t love Hyde’s value long term, but without Robinson, he’s worth a look.
SF WR Brandon Aiyuk (Owned 41.4%)
Don’t look now, I’m here to talk about Aiyuk again. Really, I am not the most confident in this add, but there are almost no WR adds that I like this week and Aiyuk is a talented receiver who lead the 49ers in snaps on Sunday. If he does finally get involved in the offense, watch out. But there is no guarantee he will.
JAX TE Dan Arnold (Owned 2.7%)
Have we finally seen the Dan Arnold breakout game we have been looking for?? It sure seems like it. Arnold secured 8 catches on 10 targets in week 8 and broke the 10 point barrier in half-PPR scoring for the first time this season. He is building trust with Trevor Lawrence and I look for him to keep getting volume in that offense.
