Week 12 NFL Fantasy Start/Sit

Happy Turkey Day Week! While you're spending time with family, enjoying all the meals, and watching football. You can't forget about your fantasy lineup. Now is the time to make a push for the playoff. This list will exclude the every-week lineup starters, like Josh Allen, Derrick Henry, Travis Kelce, etc. Let’s get into it.

"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: QB

Tua Tagovailoa vs Houston Texans

When you look at your fantasy platform you will see this as a "red" matchup for Tua. Don't be afraid. The Dolphins are coming off the bye, so you know Mike McDaniel has been cooking something up. (and not just for Thanksgiving). Tua showed continued to ball out this week.

Geno Smith vs Las Vegas Raiders

12 weeks into the season, it still seems weird to be playing Geno Smith. But he has continued to play well and has another positive Matchup this week, so keep him in your lineup.

Tom Brady vs Cleveland Browns

I guess this week's article is the "Don't forget about the QBs coming off their bye" reminder. With the Browns giving up just under 20 points a week to QBs. Brady is a streaming option this week.

"SITS" OF THE WEEK: QB

Aaron Rodgers vs Philadelphia Eagles

It's a bad matchup and Rodgers has a broken thumb. He will never admit it publically, but you can see it's causing problems with his accuracy. Especially as it gets colder.

Daniel Jones vs Dallas Cowboys

Playing on Thanksgiving day. Daniel Jones enters the week as a Top 10 fantasy QB. However, Dallas is a terrible matchup not just for fantasy, but for football in general with how banged up New York is at WR and OL this week. Jones will still get a few points with his legs, but I think you can find a better option elsewhere.

Kirk Cousins vs New England Patriots

2 words. Primetime Kirk.

"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: RB

Kenneth Walker vs Las Vegas Raiders

Honestly, Walker should probably be recognized as an every-week starter. He has scored at least 10+ points. since week 5. Against this Raiders defense, you shouldn't expect that to change.

James Conner vs Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers are ranked 29th against fantasy RBs. Conner is back healthy and has full control of the backfield in Arizona.

Micheal Carter vs Chicago Bears

The Bears are another positive matchup for fantasy RBs, as they are currently ranked 27th. Also, with the QB change to Mike White this week for the Jets. Carter should benefit as he targets the RBs at a higher rate compared to Zach Wilson.

"SITS" OF THE WEEK: RB

Joe Mixon/Samaje Perine vs Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans have the best-run defense in the league. They allow less than 70 yards rushing a game. With Mixon's status up in the air. I don't think you can play anyone in the Cincy backfield.

Kareem Hunt vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs are a top 3 defense against runningbacks. I have my concerns with even Nick Chubb this week. Chubb is still in your lineups but his counterpart is not.

Donta Foreman vs Denver Broncos

Foreman has had some nice games since he was promoted to the starter after the CMC trade. Double-digit points in 3 of the 5 games. The Broncos' defense is too good to bet on a good performance this week.

"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: WR

Devonta Smith vs Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers just allowed the worst passing offense in the league to look like the Greatest Show on Turf. Smith is good flex play this week, and if you're in a deep league you can probably get away with Quez Watkins.

Curtis Samuel vs Atlanta Falcons

Samuel has averaged over 10 points per game, and this week he gets to face the Falcons. Atlanta is 31st against fantasy wide receivers.

JuJu Smith-Schuster vs Los Angeles Rams*

*IF Juju plays. You'll have to wait until Juju clears the conclusion protocol. But he did start the week as a full participant in practice. Juju has started to pull away the top wide receiver option and it's a positive matchup this week against the Rams, he should be in your lineup.

"SITS" OF THE WEEK: WR

Micheal Pittman vs Pittsburgh Steelers

So this is another example of not getting fooled by "Green" in this matchup. Over the course of the season, the Steelers have not been great against the pass in terms of fantasy. However, they got their start, T.J. Watt, back last week and he made an immediate impact. He is going to cause more problems this week for Matt Ryan. Which will cause a trickle-down effect on Pittman.

Garret Wilson vs Chicago Bears

Chicago is a top-10 defense for fantasy WRs. There is a new QB for the Jets this week. As I mentioned above he likes to target the runningbacks. Not the week to play the rookie wideout.

Allen Lazard vs Philadelphia Eagles

Lazard is going to need a touchdown to be relevant. Going up against Darius Slay and James Bradberry regularly doesn't give him the best opportunity to do so.

"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: TE

Pat Freiermuth vs New Orleans Saints

Freiermuth saw 12 targets last week. Even if he sees half that this week...that is still really good for a TE not named Kelce. Oh, and the Colts are a bottom-third team against fantasy TEs.

David Njoku vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

There isn't many weakness for this Buc defense. Where they have been vulnerable in 2022 is to the TE. As Njoku continues to get back from his injury you can still play him this week in a plus matchup.

"SITS" OF THE WEEK: TE

Tyler Conklin vs Chicago Bears

The bears are a top 3 defense for tight ends. Finding a TE is a weekly dart throw anyways, so aim for a better chance at a bullseye.

Juwan Johnson vs San Francisco 49ers

Johnson has been a top waiver add, as Couch GMs everywhere are trying to find a TE for their team. Against the 49ers this week is not to play him.

"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: DST

Kansas City Chiefs vs Las Angles Rams

No Matt Stafford. No Cooper Kupp. The Rams just waived Darrell Henderson. How will they score any points this week?

Denver Broncos vs Carolina Panthers

While the Broncos' offensive struggles have been the big talking point this season. How good their defense has been has slid under the radar. This week, they get to face the Panthers and the return of Sam Darnold.

"SITS" OF THE WEEK: DST

Seattle Seahawks vs Las Vegas Raiders

Despite their records, the Raiders have not been an easy matchup for opposing DSTs. They currently rank 9th. You should be able to find a better option.

Baltimore Ravens vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville is not a cakewalk matchup anymore. They are currently ranked 7th. That means there are

25 better options out there. Which is Crazy to say.
