Another crazy NFL week almost in the books and you know what that means? It is time to study the waiver wire! This week features a lot of players who are potentially starting to break out as well as some great streaming options for the short term. Let’s get into it!
NYG QB Daniel Jones (37.0% Owned)
Daniel Jones was dropped in a lot of leagues because of the bye week and his poor game before the bye, but he got right back on track in week 10. Jones has been a decent floor play hovering around a top 10 QB most of the season. Now, he gets a great streaming matchup vs Detroit in week 11.
TB RB Rachaad White (8.4% Owned)
In a bit of a shock, White drew the start over Leonard Fournette this week. Don’t completely overreact, White was in about an exact 50/50 split with Fournette before he left with a hip injury in the second half. With that being said, White was very effective with the touches he was given. It is a bit unfortunate that they are going into a bye, but even if Fournette is healthy after the bye, him getting the start is an encouraging sign regardless.
BAL RB Gus Edwards (15.2% Owned)
Everyone that isn’t paying attention is probably adding Kenyan Drake. Drake was fantastic before the bye, but the Ravens seem committed to Edwards as their starter above all on the depth chart besides maybe JK Dobbins (IR). Edwards missed week 9 with an injured hamstring, but after that rest and a bye week, Edwards is eyeing a week 11 return in a favorable matchup vs the Panthers.
PIT RB Jaylen Warren (3.8% Owned)
The Steelers were very disappointed with Najee Harris entering week 10 and they hinted at more usage for Jaylen Warren. Harris ended up looking much improved against the Saints mediocre defense in week 10, but Warren still saw his highest touch total of the season seeing 9 carries and 3 catches. This is a speculative add, but if Najee goes back to how he has looked so far this season, it is not out of the question that Warren sees even more work.
KC RB Isiah Pacheco (27.0% Owned)
I get it. Another mediocre performance. He did have 84 scrimmage yards on 16 carries though. That kind of workload shouldn’t be on your wire and will eventually turn into fantasy points.
KC WR Kadarius Toney (38.6% Owned)
The Chiefs loaded passing attack got beat up on Sunday when JuJu Smith-Schuster went down with a concussion. Toney responded with his first NFL TD in a 17 point performance. It is hard to tell if Toney’s usage will continue when JuJu returns, but if this production continues, there is no way that KC can limit his usage.
GB WR Christian Watson (1.4% Owned)
WOW! Thats all you can say when you look at the seemingly random, yet semi-predictable, stat line from Christian Watson this week. The Packers wideouts have been an injured mess this season, Watson included. Now that he is further separated from his offseason knee surgery and he was featured in this weeks gameplay thanks to other injuries in the position group, he finally showed what made the Packers draft him in round 2. There is no guarantee that Watson will continue to get the snaps thanks to the mess of a depth chart, but I would have to guess that a 3 TD performance in week 10 will give him some snaps in the coming weeks to prove it was not a fluke.
NYG WR Darius Slayton (0.6% Owned)
The search for the top Giants WR continues and it now appears to belong to Slayton. He is not a sexy pickup, but he has been a consistent force as of late, scoring 9 or more in the last 3 games and 4 of the last 5. Slayton is a great streamer play next week as well as the Giants play the Detroit Lions.
CHI TE Cole Kmet (42.9% Owned)
Kmet continues to be the beneficiary of the Bears emerging offense. Kmet now has 2 straight games with 2 TDs. This is definitely not sustainable, but Kmet will still be a TE that can make a difference if the Bears can continue this offensive outburst.
