Bye-pocalypse is upon us! You might not be in a position to be picky on how you can start this week, but I still wanted to give you a list of guys I like this week, and a few I don’t. If you somehow don’t have any on bye, just know me, and the whole fantasy community envies you.

"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: QB

Carson Wentz vs San Franciso 49ers:

Carson Wentz is starting to get back to how he looked in Philly with Frank Reich. He has been consistently putting up fantasy points over the last 3 weeks. It should continue this week against the 49ers, who are currently ranked 24th against fantasy QBs.

Matt Ryan vs Miami Dolphins:

Dolphins are deep in trade rumors this week, haven’t played good football all season, and surprisingly didn’t get a bye after playing London last week. Matt Ryan is coming off a Bye week and I look for him to have his best game of the year by taking advantage of the struggling Miami Dolphins.

Derrick Carr vs Philadelphia Eagles:

The Raiders showed a lot of fight in week 6 after John Gruden stepped down. Derrick Carr is currently 2nd in the league in Passing Yards. Look for him to have another strong performance against the Eagles, especially with many Top QBs on bye this week

"SITS" OF THE WEEK: QB

Teddy Bridgewater vs Cleveland Browns:

After starting 3-0, the Broncos and Teddy Bridgewater have dropped 3 straight. Bridgewater is dealing with a little bit of injury but is expected to play/start. I know statically the Browns have not been great against fantasy QBs, but in the last 2 weeks, they have faced Justin Herbert and Kyler Murray. Bridgewater isn’t on their level, so until the Broncos start to turn it around, Bridgewater does fit in your fantasy starting lineup.

Case Keenum vs Denver Broncos:

On top of byes this week you also have to worry about injuries too. Baker Mayfield has been ruled out. But don’t feel like you can automatically insert Keenum into your lineup. He hasn’t started a game since 2019. He will also be missing top RBs. You can find plenty of better options to start over Case.

Jalen Hurts vs Las Vegas Raiders:

This one is a deeper cut, It’s going to be hard to bench the current QB5. This is only how long can he keep his fantasy performance continuing. Hurts has thrown for less than 200 yards in 3 of the 6 games this season. His fantasy points are based on the run game. He has 2 touchdowns in each game over the last 2 weeks. Regression is coming, and they’re Quarterbacks with better Matchups this week you might want to consider.

"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: RB

Demetric Felton vs Denver Broncos:

I’m sure you have heard a lot of people say go with D’Ernest Johnson. But I am have been on the Demetric Felton Hype train since watching him at the senior bowl in January.

He was one of my favorite prospects, so I am excited to put him in my lineups. He is a Running back with Wide receiver skills. Seems like a perfect offensive weapon on a team missing a lot of piece of Thursday.

Leonard Fournette vs Chicago Bears:

Fournette has taken over the RB1 role for Tampa Bay causing many trade rumors to come out about the Buccaneers potentially moving on from Ronald Jones. Now Bruce Arian came out and “laughed” at those reports. Don’t misinterpret his reaction or let you question your decision to play Leonard Fournette. He is a viable weekly starter.

Chubba Hubbard vs Dallas Cowboys:

CMC was put on IR last week. Matt Rhule mentioned this week how he wants to get the run game more involved. This week he gets to take on the 28th ranked defense against fantasy RBs in the New York Giants. Hubbard gets another week in your lineups.

"SITS" OF THE WEEK: RB

Damien Williams/Khali Herbert vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

It’s still unclear if Willaims will make it off the COVID list. If he does it would seem like he would be able to be placed right back in your lineup. However, a Matchup against the Buccaneers is not good for Fantasy RBs averaging 13.25 points. Also, as good as Herbet has looked over the last 2 weeks, hard to believe Williams will be the guy. Looks like another RB committee and in this matchup, it will be tough to play either of them.

Devonte Booker vs Carolina Panthers:

From a top wavier pick up a week ago to a guy you can’t trust in you your lines up this week. Scored less than 9 points in his debut as the Giants starter. Now, this week gets the #1 defense against fantasy running backs in the Carolina Panthers. Hopefully, you didn’t waste too much FAAB to acquire him.

Alex Collins/Rashaud Penny vs New Orleans Saints:

Pete Carrol has indicated Penny maybe be ready to come off the IR this week. If he does it would be hard to know who will be the “lead” in the committee. You will most likely have to wait until Monday to find out for sure. The Saints also have top Defense against fantasy RBs. Avoid RBs on Monday not named Kamara.

"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: WR

Calvin Ridley vs Miami Dolphins:

I already mentioned starting Matt Ryan. It is still too early to know if Miami will get ether starting CB back this week. Even if they get one or both, I’m still expecting Calvin Ridley to have his first game of the season that reminds you why you spent a 2nd/ 3rd round pick you spent on him.

Jamar Chase vs Baltimore Ravens:

So after Baltimore slowed down the Chargers high powered offense. I would understand some hesitation for the rookie standout. Chase currently is 4th in the league in receive yards. Burrow and Chase look like their LSU days. I’m not saying Chase is going full-on” AJ Green” in Baltimore, but he is the Bengals WR to play this week.

Micheal Pittman vs San Francisco 49ers:

I know Micheal Pittman had a down week last week, but TY is injured again. Paris Campbell is on IR. Pittman is the clear #1 WR in the Colts offense. With the 49ers a middle-of-the-road defense. Pittman is in line for a big game on Sunday Night.

"SITS" OF THE WEEK: WR

Jakobi Myers vs New York Jets:

Poor Jakboi, he thought he had his first touchdown last week against the Jets, but it was called back for a penalty. The jets haven’t done much good this season, but they are currently the #2 defense against fantasy WRs. The Patriots will probably win the game, but might not be the best game for Myers.

Tyler Lockett vs Saints:

Without Russ the Seahawks weren’t successful very often on Sunday night. Lockett seems to miss Russ the most. Or has he? Lockett has failed to score more than 8.2 points in the last 4 weeks. I don’t anticipate that getting much better with Geno Smith at QB.

Allen Robinson vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

Oh Allen Robinson this guy has risen to fantasy stardom with QBs like Blake Bortkes, Mitchell Trubisky, Nick Foles, and yet this year with Dalton and Fields he hasn’t been able to regain his consistent fantasy stardom. It’s crazy after 6 weeks we’re debating can we cut Allen Robinson? I wouldn’t, I would try to trade him on name recognition, but while you search for a trade he shouldn’t be in your lineup.

"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: TE

Dallas Godeet: vs Las Vegas Raiders:

Dallas Goodeet is currently on the Covid List but his 10 days will be up before Sunday. With the Eagles moving on from Zach Ertz, Dallas Godert is no longer in a TE committee. He should be in your lineup this week and most weeks moving forward.

Hunter Henry vs New York Jets:

Henry has quietly entered into the top 10 of fantasy TEs. Mainly thanks to 3 straight weeks with a Touchdown. The Law of averages suggests that streak will be coming soon, maybe even this week. However, with such a good matchup against the Jets, roll the dice and bet on Hunter Henry.

Rickey Seals-Jones vs Green Bay Packers:

So the caveat for this one is you have to watch the injury report (or follow @TheCouchGMs on Twitter for updates on Sunday) if he plays he is your starting lineup. He has 15 targets in 2 games without Logan Thomas and there is a lot of Football team pass-catchers dealing with injuries. He could in line for another solid fantasy day.

"SITS" OF THE WEEK: TE

Robert Tonyan vs Washington Football Team:

What has happened to Robert Tonyan? Last year at this point he already had 5 touchdown catches…this year he has not been a factor on the Packer’s offense or in fantasy. Scoring 2 points or less in 5 of the 6 weeks. You can’t trust Tonyan in your fantasy lineups right now.

Zach Ertz vs Houston Texans :

Zach Ertz has found a new home in Arizona. He is the ultimate pro, but I’m not rushing him into my lineups. He has only been with the team a week but hasn’t gotten to work with most of the coaches because they missed time with COVID. I’d given him another week or so until I trust him in my lineup.

Austin Hooper vs Denver Broncos:

I understand the temptation. OBJ is most likely out for the Browns. Landry could be activated off IR, but would he get a full workload missing 3 weeks? Case Keenum maybe rely on the TE as his security blanket. However, he is yet to break 10 fantasy points on the season and Denver is number 3 against Tight ends. As hard as it is to find a TE anymore, Hooper isn’t the guy this week.
