NFL FANTASY START/SIT: WEEK 10

Writer's picture: The Couch GMsThe Couch GMs

We hit double digits, it’s week 10, and getting your lineup set correct is becoming more and more important with fantasy playoff looming. Below I break down some of my favorite Start/Sit candidates for the week.

** Summary for each players will continue to be added throught the rest of the week***

"STARTS" OF THE WEEK: QB

Dak Prescott vs Atlanta Falcons:

Typically, I wouldn’t even consider Dak on this list, as he should be in your lineup every week. However, for any reader out there with trepidation when it comes to starting Prescott after last week. Allow me to put those fears to rest. He faces the Falcons, who are currently ranked #28 against QBs; giving up 20+ points a game on average. We saw the team start clicking at the end of the Denver game. Look for Dak and the Cowboys to continue to roll in the Dan Quinn revenge game.

Derrick Carr vs Kansas City Chiefs:

Even when the Raiders were considered a bad team. They would always play the Chiefs tough. This year the Raiders have placed themself right in the mix in the AFC. They’re in the position they are in because of Derrick Carr’s play. He is currently #3 in the NFL in passing yards, and this week he gets to face the #31 ranked team against fantasy quarterbacks in the Kanas City Chiefs. He might even connect on a deep shot or two with recently acquired WR Desean Jackson.

Matt Ryan vs Dallas Cowboys:

I believe because of how bad the Falcons started the season many of us in the fantasy community have overlooked them and their players for the first half to season; but, it is time to give them a little more respect. Mina Kimes shared some advanced metrics of Matty Ryan over the last week weeks, here is where he ranks:

-1st in QBR

-2nd in CPOE

-3rd in 1st down rate

Aka Matt Ryan has been balling over the last 5 weeks and has a plus matchup against the Cowboys, 26th ranked against fantasy QBs.

"SITS" OF THE WEEK: QB

Aaron Rodgers vs Seattle Seahawks:

If there hasn’t been enough Aaron Rodgers drama over the last week or 2. It feels like forever since he gave away Bitcoin (it’s been 8 days at the time of publishing this article). Unfortunately, some of that drama is caring over to your fantasy lineup. He is expected to play, but even himself said during his weekly appearance on the Patt Macaffe Show there are a few hurdles has to clear to be able to play Sunday. Then if he does play he will not have practiced in 10 days or played a game for 17 days. You would expect so rust. With all the uncertain surrounding 12, I would explore a different option this week.

Ryan Tannehill vs New Orleans Saints:

The titans shocked everyone betting the Rams without Derrick Henery. What gets lost in the win is the offense did struggle. As a team, the Titans scored 28 points, but 7 came off a pick 6, another 7 was on a drive that started at the 3-yard line, and the final 7 came at the end of the game that had 30+ penalty yards on the drive to help them get into scoring position. Not saying the Titans can’t beat the Saint, but I don’t expect a high-scoring game, with the saints because the saints have a Top 10 defense overall and against QBs in fantasy.

Kirk Cousins vs the Los Angeles Chargers:
